In This Moment, Pause
It was an unusual day; I was up 30 minutes early this morning to be at the gym for my morning run early so that I could get home, shower, and pack a breakfast to be on-site for a client before 8. Our client’s computer systems were attacked over the weekend, and they needed some attention before the workday started today.
Right after getting home from the gym, still running on endorphins.
Two hours later, wishing I’d packed a cup of tea with my breakfast bar (these pumpkin breakfast bars from All Day I Dream About Food are ah-mazing.) And that I’d brushed my teeth - but since I was just on my way to eat something, it didn’t seem right. Thirsty, but making progress.
Two more hours, having made some progress, set up a process to run for a couple of hours, I drove to my office to see what was in my inbox. And yes, I brushed my teeth in between.
Another two hours, heading for the door to finish the running process and kick off the next one, having done some other work in between. The early morning is starting to catch up with me, and I don’t handle caffeine well enough to get real coffee.
At 3, I was again in the car, and missed the alarm. Still tired, ready to work on something else.
Last alarm of the day, immersed in a fiddly website project. Due date for this one is Friday - coming soon!!
